About Us:
Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Centers (CTCs) are martial arts schools that are authorized to teach the proprietary self-defense programs developed by Gracie University Headquarters in Torrance, California. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the fastest growing martial arts on the planet, but the success of your Jiu-Jitsu journey will rely heavily on the culture of the school you attend and instructional methods utilized by your teachers. Our instructors have undergone extensive training directly under the Gracie family in order to provide a unique training environment that is safe, highly structured, and self defense focused.
Our History:
Owner Austin Morgan had trained in Jiu-Jitsu for approximately five years and saw the structure and effectiveness of Gracie University’s training methods through a Gracie Survival Tactics course he attended as a police officer. Austin began corresponding with GU in 2021 and began training in the Instructor Certification Program. In 2022 Austin opened our school as Morgan Family Martial Arts with the goal of establishing the school as a CTC. In February of 2023 Austin completed the ICP at GU headquarters in Torrance CA, and we officially became Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Jonesboro.
